This book is an historical sketchbook of 88 pages and 70 original "pen & ink" sketches that take the reader on a tour of the Military Academy's buildings and monuments, while highlighting many selected graduate leader heroes in both peace and war, education, engineering, science, pioneering, exploration, astronomy, space, and politics. Their two century contributions to the nation have been enormous. Six sections are entitled "The Making of Leaders". They describe current cadet life, the "New Cadet", his education, his character and leadership development, physical training and athletics, and the extra-curricular activities at West Point. The book is in the Permanent Collection of the Library of Congress, and was the sole book credit for the two-tape VHS production of "The West Point Story". It is appropriate for all generations, and is a fast and highly factual read with outstanding artwork.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Edward M. Moses is a graduate from the Class of 1954. He was airborne and ranger qualified and served in the active army for 15 years with the 82nd Airborne Division, 8th Infantry Division, and the 1st Armored Division. He entered the securities investment business in 1969 and retired from the Army Reserves with the rank of Colonel in 1984.

Robert A. Getz, the book's illustrator, is a Staff Member at the Military Academy and has a distinguished career as a graphic designer, cartographer, and computer graphics specialist.
