Too many of us keep God on the fringes of our lives, accessible if we have a need, but far enough away that he doesn't interfere with our own private agendas. The result is segmented, compartmentalized lives with a narrow focus only on our own fulfillment. And the more we marginalize God, the worse things get. The net result, says author Tony Evans, is a tragic downward spiral that is pullings us--and our whole world--away from the God who has a plan to give us "hope and a future". Evans shows in practical terms how God provides the authority and dynamics to make the most of every area of your life, and shows how the kingdom agenda can apply to the troubling social problems of justice, economics, racism, and education.
