Price-clipped dustjacket shows a few small tears with light edgewear and some toning, but is clean and crisp overall. Boards are sturdy and square. Endpapers and pages clean and unmarked, secure in binding. Written for a composition class when Wolff was a Senior at the University of Michigan and winner of the University's Avery Hopwood Award, the book gained notoriety for its depictions of violence, vulgar language, and incest.
