(No DJ ever issued). Frontispiece, tissue guard, internal illustrations, 444pp. Rare edition (often these elaborate, gilded editions were designed especially for school or Sunday-school prizes). CONDITION: moderate wear to boards and spine; gift plate on front pastedown; light wear to prelims and tissue guard; internal pages generally clean; slight staining to edges and pink staining from boards seeped to lower outer corner of some pages.
