As a kid I was forced to go to Church every Sunday. My senior year of high school I gave up faith and religion all together and embraced being agnostic.
 
I sought the American dream by co-founding a $4.5mil software company and pursued money, fitness, and success, but none of that ever satisfied or gave me peace.  
 
One day my business partner, a devout Catholic, asked me how I reconciled my behaviors and beliefs?  Through historical research, intellectual honesty and this thing called &;prayer,&; I moved from being agnostic, to &;spiritual,&; to non-denominational Christian, then, ultimately home to the Catholic Church. 

Why Be Catholic, is not exactly my journey, but it is the Journey of the Church.  This book will take you along the pieces of logical and historical realities that reveal how and why the Catholic Church is who She says She is.  This book will address the questions What Did Jesus Do &; give us a Church or Bible; and how can you know? 
 
It will also address the questions of why Catholics believe in the Real Presences of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist, praying to Mary and confession to a Priest.  WBC will also identify and help the reader overcome two obstacles to receiving God&;s healing graces in their lives.  And lastly, and most importantly, it will open up for the reader &;How to Pray the Mass.&;  I say it is the most important, because many Catholics I work with throughout my ministry say the get distracted or bored at Mass.  This book will open up the Mass from both practical and mystical ways, in hopes of making the Mass come alive for the reader. 
 
Why Be Catholic is not just the journey of Christians, it is the fulfillment of all Faith.
 

Fr. Ken Geraci lived the life of the prodigal son for most of his young adult life. Raised in a nominally Catholic family, who only lived the externals of the faith, as a young man, he left the Catholic Church for many years. During that time, he earned a business degree and achieved business success, but made little room for God. God, however, did not give up on him. During this journey, Our Lord presented him with challenges that forced him to question his personal beliefs and to ask the question "What is Truth?" Through a series of conversions, years of struggle, study and questioning, Fr. Ken found his way from agnosticism, to non-denominational Christianity, and ultimately back to the Catholic Church.
Fr. Ken joined the Fathers of Mercy in 2006 and was ordained in 2012.
