Still confused after learning the rules? You're not alone — and it's not your fault. Why Am I Still Confused? is a practical, easy-to-follow guide to American Mahjong built specifically for new players who already know the basics but keep getting tripped up at the table. Inside, you'll finally understand:

• Why the Charleston happens and how to pass tiles with confidence
• How to actually read the NMJL card instead of trying to memorize it
• The real rules behind jokers — and why they're not always wild
• The difference between exposed and concealed hands (and why it matters)
• When you're allowed to call a discard, and when you're not
• How to build a hand plan instead of playing tile by tile
• How to score your hand correctly, every time
• The unwritten rules of table etiquette every regular player already knows
• Why the card changes every year — and why that's actually good news for you
• How to organize your rack so decisions come faster
• When to walk away from a dying hand
• Why asking questions at the table is the fastest way to improve
