Paperback. Lucy Alvarez, a pretty Hispanic teenager graduates from a community college in California with an Associate of Science Degree in Meteorology. Unable to get a job with the National Weather Service she auditions for a job at "KLA-TV News Now" in Hollywood as a Traffic-Weather Reporter. A monstrous solar flare on the surface of the sun disrupts everything on earth, including Lucy's life. Storms of unheard of proportions assault the west coasts of Alaska, Canada, the United States Mexico and South America with water spouts, tornadoes and hurricanes that leave a trail of death and destruction across the Western Hemisphere. Lucy and her boss, the ever popular weatherman for "KLA-TV News Now", Denver Knight are put to the test many times trying to keep the world informed of the disasters as they happen. The closeness of their association leads to the inevitable. At the height of the danger to the world, not knowing if more of the solar flares will erupt on the sun's surface, the two reporters are thrown together in a situation that leaves the reader breathless. The destruction of the Golden Gate Bridge, Bart tunnels and the City of Angels is an imaginative tale of horror from weather as it hits Platform Ninety Four and changes the life of the Offshore Installation Manager, Larry Cooley and his motley crew of oil workers. Winds of Horror is 241 pages of sheer fictional terror that will keep you on the edge of your seat. This item is printed on demand.
