Bound in green cloth with title and author embossed on the front cover and stamped in gilt on the spine., now faded. Edges are stained red. Endpapers coated black. Head and heel of spine are worn and the binding is shaken. Front hinge cracked exposing the webbing and the text block is holding . The page after the ffe is missing. There is writing in a child's hand on the end papers. A previous owner has torn off pieces on the back free end paper and the preceding page. Otherwise the book is clean and the pages clear and unmarked with no signs of damp.
