In fair condition. Boards are worn with scuffing, dryness along edges. Rounded corners and chipped extremes. Six compartment spine with raised bands slightly scuffed with manuscript spine label. Rear board intentionally scratched and cut with abstract design. Colonial era bookplate of Micajah Speakman. his name in old hand dated 1778 on title page. Richard A. Hall signature dated 1946 below edition status. Text block toned with staining throughout. Free of known marginalia. Binding remains tight and intact. Rear and front fly leaves are loose, but intact. Please see photos. Important work by John Woolman on abolitionism. John Woolman was an American merchant, tailor, journalist, Quaker preacher, and early abolitionist during the colonial era.
