Ackermann, no date, circa [1822]. Frederick Shoberl (1775-1853), was an English journalist, editor and illustrator. He created his own hand-coloured engravings for The World in Miniature, a series which was published during the 1820's by R. Akermann in London. The series covered different parts of the world including Persia. It is a description of the country, characters, manners, customs, dress, religion, women, and other particularities of different nations. 'The World in Miniature: Persia' was the fifth title in the series.
