Of particular note is the inclusion of two appended essays by major global figures: "Challenge to World's Leaders" by the Most Rev. Foss Westcott "Battle Line for American Industry" by Harry S. Truman, written before he became President of the United States West's perspective is shaped by his years living among remote villages, jungle communities, and international political leaders, giving the work a uniquely firsthand and culturally embedded view of the mid-century world.
