7 1/2 in. x 9 1/2 in. celluloid-coated paper card stock, with 16 color, photo-mechanical, reduced size images of display plates, with printed floral designs, to be used to display photographic portraits. With heading: CHART NO. 6 PRODUCED IN NATURAL LIFE TINT COLORS, SIZE: 6 x 8 OVAL. This features: No. 510 Pansies & Apple Blossoms (6 x 8 oval); 311 Daisies (6 x 8 oval); 217 Poppies (6 x 8 oval); 509 Bridal Wreath & Aplle Blossoms (6 x 8 oval); 227 Choice Violets & Buds; 318 Lilies of Valley (6 x 8 oval); 110 Sweet Roses (6 x 8 oval); 511 Pansies & White Spiraea (6 x 8 oval); 116 Rose & Butterfly; 312 White Roses (6 x 8 oval); 309 Lilies & Daisies (6 x 8 oval); 219 Choice Poppies (6 x 8 oval); 229 Beauty Violets (6 x 8 oval); 112 Rose & Buds (6 x 8 oval); 322 Lilies of Valley (6 x 8 oval); 114 Favorite Roses. The upper left-hand corner is chipped away, with some loss of text [CHART NO.]; some pencilled numbers on the back of the card. The sheet shows some curling, and yellowing to the surface. Very scarce tradesman's sample cards, these were kept in photographic studios, novelty & gift shops, to assist in ordering these now, quite rare and collectable plates; Number six of a larger series. Few of these now survive, as they easily deteriorate if not protected from light and heat (they must be stored away from bright light, heat, and as with any celluloid products, away from any open flame, or high heat).
