Three small punctures to last three leaves. [2], LI pp., half-title. This work actually contains two poems. The first is dedicated "To the Chinese Envoy Extraordinary" and contains 10 stanzas. The remainder consists of a long series of verses, much of which is generally related to China. The entire work is dedicated "To the Honrable Anson Burlingame, Envoy Extraordinary to the Western nations and High Minister Plenipotentiary of the First Chinese Bank. And to the Most Mighty Mandarins Chih-Kang and Sun-Chia-Kee of the Second Chinese Bank, and to the Associated High Envoys and Ministers, and to All the Representatives of the Ancient and Central Flowery Kingdom Who Compose the Chinese Embassy.
