Inhaltsangabe: Vietnam veteran and ex-CIA Paramilitary Operations Officer, Steve Fuller, teaches at the University of Zambia. After his extensive military service he just wants to live quietly, but when the Rhodesian Air Force bombs Zimbabwe People's Liberation Army training camps near Lusaka he finds himself drawn into the African freedom struggle. Henry Kissinger is instrumental in organizing negotiations between the liberation groups and Ian Smith's white minority government set to take place in a railroad car on Victoria Falls Bridge. Soviet agents seek to disrupt the talks which Steve Fuller pledges to protect. ZAMBEZI RIVER BRIDGE mixes fact and fiction while telling a compelling story of the volatile decade of the 1970s in Southern Africa.

Über den Autor: Robert B. Boeder served as a Peace Corps Volunteer teacher in Malawi then taught at the University of Zambia and the University of Malawi where he was a Fulbright Professor. He also spent twenty years as a Southern Africa intelligence analyst for the U.S. Army Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg, N.C. Boeder is the author of two nonfiction works about long distance trail running: Hardrock Fever. Running 100 Miles in Colorado's San Juan Mountains and Beyond the Marathon. The Grand Slam of Trail Ultrarunning and two novels, The Chinese Laundry. A Novel of the San Juan Mountains and Silverton Burning.
