Jim Devitt

Little did he know, Jim Devitt would write himself into Major League Baseball at an early age. He spent eight years working behind-the-scenes in an American League Clubhouse. Drawing on his experiences, Jim published his debut Young Adult novel, The Card, in 2011, later hitting #1 in three different categories on the Kindle Bestseller list.

After his time in professional baseball, Jim graduated from Washington State University in Pullman, Washington, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology, and then continued on to complete his Master of Science degree in Education from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. He has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed research papers and presented at conferences throughout the country. Jim enjoys sports, the outdoors and family game night. He currently lives in Merritt Island, FL with his wife Melissa and their two children.
