Bill Wenham

My name is Bill Wenham and I am an 84 year old Canadian, formerly from London, England. My wife and I came to Canada in 1957 and we have a son, a daughter and four beautiful grandchildren, two girls and two boys, all young adults now.

Whilst in England I worked in the British movie industry at Denham and Pinewood studios and am proud to have been a part of the production crew of David Lean's now classic black and white film of 'Oliver Twist'.

I also spent a few years touring the world free in the British Merchant Navy, served some time in the R.A.F. and was in the London Metropolitan Police just prior to emigrating to Canada.

In Canada, I worked for Canada's national airline, Air Canada, in a number of roles and upon retirement, had several executive roles in the Canadian Travel Industry.

I have been an artist for most of my life but switched to writing in 2006 when I developed Arthritis in my right hand and could no longer paint properly. I actually find it more challenging and enjoy it more.Samples of my artwork are shown on this page and I can occasionally paint some of the cover images for my books

I put my first book on Amazon Kindle in Nov. of 2011 and I now have 53 books of various kinds on Kindle, but my specialty is Murder Mystery with a total of 23 books in a series set in my old home town.

My series books are deliberately written to be a hopefully entertaining read of three to four hours on a bus, train or plane and I leave much of the unnecessary descriptive out of them.
