Ken Carpenter's early years were spent on his grandparent's ranch in Saratoga Wyoming, about 20 miles south of where Owen Wister wrote the Virginian. His Mother was a school teacher. After graduating from High School, he took a scholarship to Baylor University in Texas. After a year he returned home and joined the United States Air Force for 4 years. Returning to Wyoming he entered the University of Wyoming and graduated with a BA in Political Science. While working in Jackson Hole Wyoming as a river guide, he was hired by Warner Brothers as an extra on a movie they were filming there. He returned to Hollywood with the company and thus began his movie career spanning nearly 4 decades. He has appeared in numerous movies and television shows in various capacities over the years. He began writing the Flight of the Angel series of books in 2009.
