For her whole life, Ann J. Polya Ph.D. has constantly sought out novel and challenging career choices that are key to Brain Fitness. Her work has spanned many countries—including UK--where she was born, Belgium, Germany, France, Japan and the United States. A former senior EU official in Brussels and then spokesperson in New York, she also held senior positions at Pfizer Inc; she then re-trained and got her second Masters degree in Social Work and a Doctorate in Behavioural Sciences and qualified as a psychotherapist, executive and life coach, emotional intelligence consultant, and is a former professor and experienced speaker. As an author this is her first book and after considerable research Dr Polya concludes that contrary to what we always thought we can boost our mental faculties- irrespective of our age. Moreover, Brain Fitness helps us become smarter as we use special exercises to sharpen our minds and memory; this we all can do and the book explains how.The book has elicited much positive commentary, such as the following:-"This is a book that every person over the age of 40 should own and perhaps those below 40 as well. Ann does a great job of linking her great research and fun exercises to building what is well-known as Emotional Intelligence. I thoroughly recommend both the book and her workshops about this subject. Diane Foster, MCC, Author The Skill Kit for Leaders."
