Cathy Cleveland paints with oils on canvas. "Oil paints are such a timeless classic medium, they lend importance to even the most unassuming subject," says the artist. She grew up drawing pictures, as any child does, but couldn't seem to stop. One thing led to another and then she discovered oils. As she describes it, painting is pure joy. Anything can be inspiration for a painting, but she finds animals and Nature to be the best, especially horses. Her horse paintings are very realistic...but her free hand horse drawings...they take on a character of their own! "I must not forget to mention my wonderful mother, who is quite an artist herself.
