Carsten Heinrigs

Carsten Heinrigs was born 1965 in Rheine, Germany. Inspired by the internet, he began to program HTTP requests and to parse and transform HTML documents in Berlin during the 1990s. Moving to New York City in 1999, he began to work as a professional web applications developer. Since returning to Germany in 2006, he has been working as a freelancer. Always learning by doing, Carsten was influenced by concepts coming from the Literate programming paradigm and the eXtreme Programming (XP) methodology. He places strong emphasis on the readability of code, on iterative and incremental development, and constant refactoring.
