Jacque Stonehocker

Jacque Stonehocker enjoys writing essays, articles, book reviews and fiction. She writes from Northern Utah where she shares a joy-filled life with her husband and their adopted dogs, one of whom is her service dog. When she is not writing, she can be found at the human end of the leash, taking the pups on “sniffari” walks.

Her debut book, WOOF NOTES: Life with Dogs, Volume One (Volume Two, coming soon) grew out of her articles published in The Animal Companion Magazine since 2013, celebrating the everyday moments and meaningful bonds we share with companion animals, highlighting the responsibility we have to consider their best interests, with the enduring theme of increasing our empathy.

Her writing has also appeared in Woman’s World Magazine, Pacific Union Recorder, Ogden Standard Examiner, and she has contributed to the newsletter for Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic. She was recognized with a contest win for publication at Boomer Women Speak online.

Jacque also publishes on Substack at Adventures in Curiosity. She volunteers as an online facilitator of Silent Writing sessions at A Writing Room. She loves to encourage other writers and to help find the pivot that highlights the hope and positivity that we have within our reach.
