Sandy Nathan

First off, an apology. I'm sorry, I don't speak German. I was able to get this far setting up my author page using the wonderful Google Translate function on my browser. I can't put any HTML on this page, but if you don't speak English, just go to Google Translate. Drop in the text and you should be good to go.

"I write books that touch the heart--and mind and soul. My six books include two nonfiction titles. One is a modern spiritual companion. The other is the story of a premature baby horse born on our ranch.

"The other four are fiction. Look out! They're no-holds-barred action in worlds formed in my imagination. My novels can be called science fiction, paranormal fantasy, and visionary fiction. Whatever you call them, they are written around a moral core. I hold out the possibility of the human race straightening up and doing right. You won't get a plot you can predict from me. My novels don't always have happy endings and sometimes they're plain old scary. And violent.

"My writing has won twenty four national awards in the US, including the Benjamin Franklin Award (finalist) and Gold, Silver & Bronze Medals in the IPPY (Independent Press) Awards. These are two of the most prestigious, oldest and largest competitions for independent presses. I've also won two Silver Nautilus Awards. The Nautilus competition is for books that positively impact the planet. I've also won a large handful of other awards.

"If you’d like to see some reviews, hop over to my books' pages on the US Amazon site. My reviews are very good, and almost all of them on the US Amazon site. I can't put a URL here, but just go to Amazon US."

Mrs. Nathan was born in San Francisco, California and raised in Silicon Valley. "When it comes to writing books like Numenon, where a great Native American shaman meets the richest man in the world, a Silicon Valley billionaire, I am all set with the corporate side of the story. I know all about the hard-driving, competitive, ultra-smart culture of the San Francisco Bay Area. It's part of me."

Sandy holds Master's Degrees in Economics and Marriage, Family, & Child Counseling. She was a doctoral student at Stanford's Graduate School of Business and has been an economic analyst, businesswoman, and negotiation coach, as well as an author. And horse breeder!

A lifelong horsewoman, Sandy has loved and ridden horses most of her life. "My fondest memories are of riding through the redwood forests of California's Coastal Range. Our family bred Peruvian Paso horses for 20 years."

Mrs. Nathan lives on her family's ranch with her husband. She has three grown children and two grandchildren.
