J. E. Brenda Bailey

Brenda Bailey was born in 1923 from an English mother and German father, and was sent to secondary school in England in 1938. She has written the story of her parents' experiences in Germany during World War II, where their strong Quaker beliefs were irreconcilable with the Nazi regime.

A committed Quaker herself, and the wife of author Sydney D Bailey, Brenda has worked tirelessly to develop better community relations and mutual respect between individuals and communities, both in the UK and parts of Africa and the Middle East.
