The new work is in two groups: the large abstracts of 1988-89 (Grad, Lot, Rain, Uran, and others, in a palette restrained to blacks, whites, and greys with color breaking through) and the fifteen photo-paintings of the cycle October 18, 1977, taken from press and police photographs of the last days of the Baader-Meinhof group (Youth Portrait, Confrontation, Hanged, Dead, Funeral, Cell, Record Player).
