Cathie Dunn schreibt historische Romane und romantische Abenteuer. Ihre Romane spielen in Frankreich, Schottland und England. Ihr besonderes Interesse gilt der mittelalterlichen Geschichte, aber sie recherchiert auch gerne frühere und spätere Perioden. Ihre Heldinnen sind oft starke Frauen, die sich ihrem nicht immer wohlgesonnenen Schicksal mutig stellen.

Cathie arbeitet derzeit an zwei Romanen: Treachery, Buch #2 in der House of Normandy Serie und The Alchemist's Daughter, #2 in der Affair of the Poisons Serie. Sie plant auch eine ’medieval murder mystery’ Serie im Languedoc während der Verfolgung der Katharer.
