I am a historian of modern continental European history working and teaching at the Institute for East European History at the University of Vienna, financed by the FWF (Elise Richter grant V-555), and the Pontifical Institute Santa Maria dell'Anima, Rome. My research focus is the history of the Habsburg Monarchy and Central Europe in particular linguistic, ethnic, and religious diversity
