David Greelish

I bring a perspective on technology shaped by more than 35 years of studying computer history, collecting vintage computers, and documenting the people, ideas, and machines that shaped the digital world. As a writer, interviewer, editor, and media producer, I have spent decades exploring not just what technology is, but how it developed and why it matters.

Since the early 1990s, I have published work on the history of computing, conducted interviews with notable figures including Alan Kay, Ed Roberts, Bill Atkinson, and John Sculley, and created or participated in podcasts, YouTube videos, and other media projects. I have also presented at multiple vintage computing festivals.

In 2024, I produced and released a feature-length documentary on the Apple Lisa, examining its development and lasting influence on the Macintosh. My work connects computing’s past to its present, offering a perspective grounded in research, historical understanding, and a sustained effort to interpret technology with depth and clarity. My webpage is at Classic Computing.
