Kay Kay - an introduction by Tim Kay, Publisher at University of Life.

Over the past five decades Kay Kay has been developing the skills that she uses to encourage and facilitate positive change in individuals and in society. Her experience in a variety of professions within several industries and social and community settings, has equipped her with an understanding of many situations from a variety of perspectives.

Kay is committed to her lifelong learning, especially in the subjects she finds most fascinating: philosophy, psychology and anthropology, particularly in regard to personal, family, community and social development. Her interest in these subjects has taken her to many parts of the world, where she has lived and studied in a variety of situations through which to explore and experience cultures, and to share in and contribute towards community experiments for social evolution.

WRITING

In her books, Kay shares her wisdom, insights, skills and experiences and engages her readers with her good-humored, honest, no-frills approach to writing. She flavors her writing with questions that aim to encourage people to consider options and consequences; to engage in creative thinking and further inquiry; in making conscious choices and the taking of responsibility for their actions and behavior.

Each of Kay's books is packed with information, experiences, methods, tools and techniques that will support readers to achieve the purpose that guided them to choose that particular book. Although each book is a fully comprehensive and stand-alone publication, together they will form an extensive program for self-development and positive social change.

Her passion for the importance of inter-personal communication as a vital skill is a major theme running through Kay's work. Her experience convinces her that the ability to listen and to speak to one another constructively enhances all areas of our lives. She sees that the lack of good communication skills can have seriously damaging consequences for individuals, families, businesses, and organizations and in all sections of society.
