Grant Fausey

Hi, I'm Grant Fausey and my life changed drastically, when I decided to become a writer and returned to my hometown in Pennsylvania. A far cry from my life in Southern California. Although, it has been an experience I'll never forget. I hold a Master of Arts degree in Screenwriting from the California State University.

I'm the proud father of four accomplished children, whom along with my life-long best friend and wonderful spouse, Ramona, dream, teach, and capture the essence of life across this great nation of ours.

Of course, I turned my attention to adapting screenplays to novelization. "Although I had completed my dream of writing a screen trilogy, to see the screenplay realized on film at this point was another matter. The art of digital visual effects are just now coming into the realm of making the storytelling possible. The novelization, or course, surely needed to come first. My former professional background stems from writing and illustrating comic books, directing local television, film production design and special effects, not to mention a stint as editor and chief of my college newspaper. I've even created an award winning magazine, receiving 8 awards--An honor in itself for such an endeavor."

I attended USC from 1989 through 1991 at the University of Southern California's coveted School of Cinema/Television Arts, while working as an artist doing storyboards, concept art, rotoscoping and title artwork at a Hollywood Special Effects House. I became a Production Designer in 1993 and established the groundwork for my first film project in 1994.

After much deliberation, I decided to return to school in 2005, finding academia to be the perfect place to flesh out the multi-trilogy design of a new project. Of Crimson Indigo was born. I must admit though, my first attempt was rather mediocre, but the premise of which was to tell the story of two lovers who suddenly find themselves caught up in the rearrangement of their own future lives fascinated me. Having them nearly eliminate each other from history, now that was exhilarating--hence, OF CRIMSON INDIGO: POINTS OF ORIGIN became more than just ink on paper. It was the combination of ingenuity and love.

Today, I still find myself in Pennsylvania. I currently live with my wife in our hometown, where I'm preparing the next book in the series for publication, while teaching film studies as an Adjunct Professor and Advisor to the student production company at Lycoming College.
