J C Lovell lives between Pembrokeshire, Wales, and Southern Spain with his beautiful wife Sheila and nutty dog Frodo. They have three children between them and two foster children.
Although born in Cornwall JC regards himself a scouser as the family moved to Liverpool when he was only one year old. JC refuses to grow up and does not take life very seriously. Many of the events in his writing come from his own childhood. Before he started writing he had many jobs including, press photographer, foster carer and musician.
Dyslexic, spell-check is his king. He has strong opinions on childhood and education and believes children should be encouraged to follow their dreams. He also believes that all children are good at something and that the something should be encouraged. Being a big kid himself JC instinctively knows what kids like. When writing he doesn’t plan ahead and usually he himself can’t wait to see what will happen next.
When not playing ‘stick’ with Frodo in the garden JC is currently working on the second book in the Willy Smith series ‘Willy Smith – Dream-on’.
