Leder argumentiert, dass es sich dabei um eine Revolution handelte, die die soziale Struktur der polnischen Gesellschaft grundlegend veränderte. Mit seinem geisteswissenschaftlichen und psychoanalytischen Instrumentarium zeigt er, warum sie bis in die Gegenwart nachwirkt. Leder verweist auf die Veränderung des Imaginariums dieser Umwälzungen als eines Geflechts von Mythen und Phantasmen, die das gesellschaftliche Bewusstsein bis heute bestimmen.
