Roger Mannon

Roger Mannon is a 74-year-old Vietnam veteran and retired U.S. Army Master Sergeant. He recently retired from a second career as a computer network engineer. He is a new author who, in his own words, "sits alone in the dark and writes stories for you." Many of his stories are queer tales curiously told and dressed in weirdness. You might say they live in the shadows on the strange side of the street. Some seek to answer unanswerable questions. Is death the end, or is it an entryway to another life? Can we go back in time, start our life anew, and exchange the life we lived for a better one? Is magic real and loose in the world? His stories include tales of sorrow, fear, joy, and hope - all strangely built and dressed in weirdness.

Some seek to answer unanswerable questions. Is death the end, or is it an entryway to another life? Can we go back in time, start our life anew, take different paths, and exchange the life we know for a better one? Is magic real and loose in the world? Most of his stories start life as fragmented ideas that come to him from reading articles on quantum physics, climate change, or the birth and death of the universe. He and his wife live a stone's throw from the high peaks of Colorado's mountains. They spend their time camping, reading, and chasing grandchildren around the house.

One of his strangest stories is a novel-length non-fiction tale of a Top-Secret U.S. Army experiment in psychic warfare.

That is a strange story indeed!
