Fritz Blackburn

Born 1955 in Augsburg, Germany, writing for hunting and fishing magazines from age 10, studies of law and economics at Augsburg University, 1975-1983.

At age 20, I became an international globetrotter, dedicated to understanding the human condition and to spiritual disciplines.

While also studying law, I found months each year to train with shamans in remote places and natural societies, and I played competitive chess.

I left Europe and law at age 28 for a cave in the Philippines, but instead of hermitage I ended up having children in New Zealand and, after a lengthy court-battle raising them on my own.

Throughout my life I pursued the spiritual path, particularly the Taoist disciplines of transforming sexual energy into higher awareness, like Kung-Fu, Chinese medicine and shamanism. But being a father was the ultimate self-development, and travelling to remote places with my kids was the source of most of my insights!

Apart from being a dad, building and landscaping, I spent my creative time teaching, spiritual counselling, healing, travelling inner worlds and the last rain-forests, gardening, tree-planting and writing.

Aside from self-published books on physics, I have published – ‘Chess-parenting’ with Seaburn Publishing, New York, two years ago.
