T. Gates Whiteley

Gates Whiteley was born in San Antonio, TX USA in 1940. His father's ancestors came from Whitehaven, Cumberland County, England while his mother's came from County Donegal, Ireland. Trained as a lawyer, he made his living as a management consultant to the health professions. Married for over forty years, Gates has five children and has resided in San Antonio for more than fifty years. His first book, "Percy: Life as a Runaway and Hobo", is based upon stories he heard growing up from his maternal grandfather and dozens of his letters written over more than a twenty year period.
