Simonetta Vernocchi

Simonetta Vernocchi works as an internist in a public hospital. Adjunct Professor for several Universities (Tor Vergata e Sapienza of Rome, University of Novedrate, Universitas Ostraviensis Czech Republic, Our Lady of Good Counsel Elbasan Albania, Academy of the University in Czestochowa Poland, of the Interstudi European Association Chiasso, and Unipolisi ), concerning end-of-life issues, physiology and physiopathology, semeiotics, health promotion, respiratory diseases. She collaborates as a teacher with the Adlerian School of Psychotherapy in Milan with regard to neurophysiology and ethics. She collaborates with Caritas International on issues of social interest, health promotion and ethics, with courses and seminars and spreading the BLS practices in the still difficult to reach areas of Eastern Europe. She had collaborated for years with the medical clinic of Legnano dedicated to the extracomunitaries without a residence permit. She contributed to the design and construction of the Hospice Altachiara in Gallarate, which she ran for 5 years. She had been part of the ethics committee of the Humanitas Mater Domini Institute since its establishment until 2011. She deals with research and publications in different sectors, especially for the European Institute of Forensic and Biomedical Sciences.
