Dee Rivers

Unexpected Answers is Dee Rivers' debut novel, based on a secret that her parents' took to their graves. Many people, on hearing the amazing story suggested a book and as Dee had written a few unpublished children's short stories many years earlier, she was encouraged by her family to 'give it a go'. While working in an extremely quiet furniture showroom, she began writing in a notebook, transferring and editing her words to the computer in the evenings at home. After many rejections from publishers the story lay in a file on her computer for a number of years until she was encouraged to dig it out again and finally complete it!

Dee has been an avid reader since a very early age. Now, as an adult, family saga's are her favourites. She likes to feel that the author has done some research, where the reader is perhaps taken to different countries with a thought-provoking plot. Her local library is a regular haunt and a book is never far from her hands.

Though she loves reading and writing, her life has been filled with music. She sings with a local choir and is a pianist, now retired though still playing for pleasure. She has written Christian Gospel songs and poetry. Genealogy looms high in her interests, along with occasional knitting and needlework.

Dee lives in East Sussex, and has four children and five grandchildren.
