Michael A. Malpass, son of the artist by the same name, is a writer and middle school teacher in New Jersey. He began writing about his father at 19 years of age, in 1991, the year of his father's death, at first to ease the pain of losing a parent, but as time passed to honor the life and contributions of an extraordinary artist and man.
