Rod Van Blake

After reading so many science fiction and fantasy novels Mr. Van Blake decided to try his hand at writing years ago. Started a deep dive into the Star Wars universe while stationed in Okinawa Japan with the now defunct EU but knew he did not own that universe so with the help of some what if scenarios began to create his own right here in the Milky Way.

Honorably discharged from the Marine Corp in 2001 it took him a while to actually put pen to paper, and then took more time to complete the first novel. Now that life has stopped getting in the way the second novel is finished with a third on the way and he will take a crack at fantasy. R.A. Salvatore, Timothy Zahn, Kevin J. Anderson, and Orson Scott Card are some of his influences.

The author was born in Rochester NY, raised in Chicago, played college basketball for a small school in Minnesota before enlisting in the United States Marine Corp in 1997. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton Ca after spending a year in Okinawa Japan. He now resides in the Baltimore area looking to create more adventures in space and far off magical lands.
