Tom Meehan

Tom Meehan, CFI, is CEO of CONTROLTEK and a recognized leader at the intersection of retail, technology, security, and innovation. He leads CONTROLTEK’s strategic direction and growth, helping shape solutions that address the evolving challenges facing retailers and organizations today.

Before joining CONTROLTEK, Tom spent 13 years at Bloomingdale’s as Director of Technology and Investigations, where he led physical security, internal investigations, systems, and data analytics. Earlier in his career, he held loss prevention, technology, and operational roles at The Home Depot and other organizations, giving him a firsthand understanding of the challenges security and loss prevention professionals face.

Tom is also an active voice across the industry as a writer, speaker, and thought leader. He authors “Tom’s TEK Tips” for The D&D Daily and the “Future of Loss Prevention” column for LP Magazine, where he serves as Retail Technology Editor. He is also co-host of the “CrimeScience” podcast.
