The aim of the conference was to bring together leading experts as well as motivated young researchers in order to discuss, recent developments, the present status of the ?eld, and its future prospects the exchange of ideas, in a pleasant atmosphere that stimulates. It was the designated goal to address current issues including mathematical modeling, design of parallel algorithms, aspects of microprocessor architecture, parallel programming languages, c- pilers, hardware-aware computing, heterogeneous platforms, emerging archit- tures, tools, performance tuning, and requirements for large-scale applications. Thisbroadrangeofissuesisre?ectedbythepresentconferenceproceedings.The results of the presented research papers clearly show the potential of emerging technologiesintheareaofmulticoreandmanycoreprocessorsthatarepavingthe way towards personal supercomputing.However, many issues related to parallel programmingenvironments, developmentof portable and future-proof concepts, and the design of scalable and manycore-ready algorithms still need to be - dressed in future research. Some of these points are the subject of the presented papers. This survey of the impact of multicore and co-processor technologies on science as well as on large-scale interdisciplinary applications covers the state of the art in the field. One of the most important job specifications for the Generation Y and women, however, is the so called work-life balance, so employers must use work-life balance issues as incentives in recruiting.As a consequence, this thesis correlates both topics and investigates the applicability of the concept of part-time work on the management level. In so doing, the specific focus on managers was chosen due to the fact that companies have a great interest in forming a lasting bond with this kind of highly qualified specialists and, therefore, are required to take better account of their needs regarding the working time management. Furthermore, reductions in working time at management level can help the labour market to reduce the gender segregation by attracting more women to top positions.The crux of the thesis will therefore be to investigate the practicability of part-time management and to solve the following question: How does the current situation of part-time managers in Europe look like and what should companies do for a successful implementation.

Aufgrund der spezifischen Natur des Clusterkonzepts und der Clusterpolitik erweist sich die Evaluierung deutlich komplexer als die Bewertung einzelner Instrumente der Wirtschaftsförderung. Die Entwicklung wissenschaftlich fundierter und praxistauglicher Evaluierungsansätze ist dennoch unabdingbar. Im Spannungsfeld von theoretischem Anspruch und praktischer Realität der Evaluierung von regionaler Clusterpolitik geht diese Arbeit der Frage nach, welche Ansätze sich für die Adressierung der großen Herausforderungen derartiger Evaluierungen eignen und zu einer Verbesserung der Bewertung von Fördermaßnahmen führen können.
