Cheryl Dudley-Prior

Cheryl Dudley-Prior is a children's book author, lifelong animal lover, and founder of Cooper's Way Press, an independent publishing imprint inspired by her beloved rescue dog, Cooper.

Her debut children's book, Buttercup and Daisy and the Hole in the Fence: A Story from the English Countryside, draws on her time living in the English countryside, where animals, landscapes, and everyday adventures offered endless opportunities for storytelling.

With a doctorate in Public Administration and a distinguished career in public service, Cheryl has spent much of her professional life focused on leadership and service. Through children's literature, she has discovered another meaningful way to share what matters most to her: kindness, friendship, compassion for animals, and the special bonds that enrich our lives.

Her forthcoming book, Cooper Finds His Way Home, tells the heartfelt story of the rescue dog whose remarkable journey and unconditional love inspired Cooper's Way Press.

Cheryl hopes her stories will encourage children to appreciate animals, embrace kindness, and find wonder in the world around them.
