Laurie McDowell

Laurie is a vulnerable and gifted storyteller. Born with a connective-tissue disorder (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome), Laurie thought she understood affliction and suffering. Then, her life turned upside down when an eighteen-year-long medical mystery threatened to consume her. Through her suffering, Laurie offers vital lessons on trust, surrender, and faith.

Laurie now speaks from a place of healing and desires to inspire those who suffer to find hope in their hardship– so life’s detours transform into Divine direction. Whether you suffer from chronic illness, loss of a loved one, loneliness, loss of a dream, or anger with your current circumstances, you will find validity in your pain and a fresh perspective on healing and hope as you join Laurie on her journey.

In addition to telling her story, Laurie enjoys painting, camping at the Oregon Coast, laughing with her husband, and spending time with her three adult “kids.”
