Robyn Martelly was born on Cape Breton Island and raised in the historic, multicultural community of Whitney Pier, Nova Scotia. She is a Canadian author, visual artist, and poet.

With over 20 years of creative experience, Robyn uses storytelling and art to celebrate identity, preserve cultural heritage, and inspire the next generation.

As the author of Ladybug Blues, Robyn is passionate about creating meaningful stories that spark imagination, build confidence, celebrate diversity, and foster a sense of belonging.
