Ronald Smith

Ronald Smith is a sales and marketing executive by trade and an author by accident. His journey into writing began with a deep frustration over how far the modern church has drifted from the simple, powerful teachings of Jesus Christ.

Though he prayed a salvation prayer in high school, it wasn't until years later that he realized he had never truly encountered the transforming power of Christ. His faith was awakened at a Promise Keepers event in Boulder, Colorado, where he watched 50,000 men worship God with a passion he didn't yet understand.

Thirty-three years ago, in a small diner in Muncie, Indiana, he asked his pastor a question that changed his life: why can't we just pray to be healed from sin? That question began a decades-long search through Scripture, theology, and the writings of John Wesley. Through the quiet discipleship of Pastor Dave Neckers and the bold evangelism of Ray Comfort, Smith came to believe that the Bible doesn't just promise forgiveness. It promises freedom from sin itself.

He is not a theologian by trade, and the book reads like a friend who spent three decades working out an answer. His mission is to bring clarity back to the gospel, challenge modern assumptions, and call the church back to holiness through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Ronald and his wife, Nancy, live in Scottsdale, Arizona. They have six children and two grandchildren.
