Francesca Falcetta Morrell

Francesca Falcetta Morrell is a children's picture book author from Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and nearly thirty years of experience working with children of all ages. Currently serving as a front office clerk for both a preschool and a clinical day program for older students, she has spent much of her career witnessing firsthand the frustrations, struggles, small victories, and remarkable triumphs that shape young lives.

Growing up as the only child of parents who owned a small neighborhood bakery, Francesca learned some of life's most valuable lessons from behind the counter. Serving customers taught her patience, the art of conversation, and the importance of connecting with people from all walks of life. Those early experiences helped shape the person—and storyteller—she would become.

Francesca is married and the proud mother of her only daughter, Samantha, a professional golf instructor whose love of the game inspired Francesca's debut picture book, Griffy, the Golf-Loving Gopher. The story celebrates the courage to follow one's dreams, even when others have doubts.

Francesca believes the most meaningful children's stories are those that touch the heart. Through relatable characters, gentle humor, and heartfelt storytelling, she explores the feelings, challenges, and everyday experiences that help children understand themselves and the world around them.

When she isn't writing, Francesca enjoys spending time with the little poodle pictured beside her and tending to her aquarium, a hobby she has enjoyed for more than forty years. She is currently working on several additional picture book manuscripts, each with its own characters, adventures, and story to tell.
