Ted Berrigan started "C" Press in 1963 with Lorenz Gude as publisher and published "C" Magazine from May 1963 to May 1966 for 2 volumes and 13 issues (No #12) and also published Joe Brainard's "C" Comics amongst several books by fellow New York School poets including In Advance of the Broken Arm by Ron Padgett and Homage to Arthur Rimbaud by Ted Berrigan around the time of Veitch's publication. Very good, light wear and rubbing to perimeter aspects of cover wrappers, 1cm tear to cover wrapper, and light soiling to areas of cover wrappers, very light creasing to bottom right corner of book Softcover quarto, stab-stapled with illustrated B&W paper wrappers.

The seventh issue of one of the important journals of the mimeo revolution, which featured many of the most prominent New York School poets and artists. C was edited by Ted Berrigan and published from 1963-67 in New York City by Lorenz Gude. 14 issues were ultimately published. This issue features a cover design by Joe Brainard and five preliminary leaves with mimeographed prints byhim. This issue features contributions from Ted Berrigan, Tom Veitch, Joe Ceravolo, Ron Padgett, John Wieners, Tony Towle, Lorenzo Thomas (Toumes), Frank Lima, John Perreault, Frank O'Hara, Kenward Elmslie, James Schuyler, Edwin Denby, Harry Fainlight, and Dick Gallup. Side-stapled 14" x 8 ½" leaves, [50] leaves mimeographed on rectos only. All stapled missing saving one, which is holding all the leaves securely; wear and small closed tears along the edges, small piece lacking from the bottom corner of the cover sheet.

C: A Journal of Poetry first appeared in May of 1963, edited by Ted Berrigan and published by Lorenz Gude. It became an influential showcase for the work of New York School poets and artists like Berrigan himself, along with Ron Padgett, Joe Brainard, Kenneth Koch, James Schuyler, John Ashbery, Dick Gallup, David Shapiro, and others it was a predominantly male list, though Barbara Guest and a few others (including Alice B.
