Buch Erstausgabe
Soft cover. Zustand: Good. 1st Edition. Austin, H. W. 'Bunny'. Frank Buchman as I knew him. London: Grosvenor Books, 1975. Paperback, Good. Red covers a little rubbed with small creases and some age discolouration to white background on reverse. Binding strong. Fep with Christmas gift inscription. 197pp., b/w photographs. Contents clean and bright. Franklin Nathaniel Daniel Buchman (June 4, 1878 August 7, 1961), best known as Frank Buchman, was an American Lutheran who founded the First Century Christian Fellowship in 1921 (known after 1928 as the Oxford Group) that was transformed under his leadership in 1938 into the Moral Re-Armament and became Initiatives of Change in 2001. As a leader of the Moral Re-Armament, he was decorated by the French and German governments for his contributions to Franco-German reconciliation after World War II. Henry Wilfred "Bunny" Austin (26 August 1906 26 August 2000) was an English tennis player. In 1933, concerned by increasing threats of a renewal of European, and indeed wider, war, Austin became involved in the Oxford Group, later Moral Re-Armament, speaking on public platforms and writing press articles. RightWayUp Books aims to provide accurate and detailed descriptions. All images are of the actual book for sale - no stock images are ever used. Thank you for looking at this listing.

Cloth. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. First Edition. Dustwrapper, pp. 264, bw ills. Bunny Austin was a talented tennis player and British Davis Cup team member when they won the cup four years running from 1933-36. He married the actress Phyllis Konstam, and this book is not only the story of their careers but how they came to actively embrace the ideals of the Moral Re-Armament movement. The book bears the inscription " To Paul and Margot. Remembering our meeting in Kandy - with our best wishes for the future " It is signed in the same hand Phyllis and Bunny Austin, and I rather think this is his wifes hand rather than Bunny from the examples I have researched on the net. There are one or two other examples of books being signed by her on their behalf. Wrapper is a little edgeworn with several small splits. Contents nice and clean. VG Size: 64mo - up to 3" tall. Signed by Author(s).
