A small portion is missing from foot of spine. Hinges are worn, but covers remain firmly attached. Leather is lightly scratched and rubbed, but overall free of any significant flaws. Previous owner's inscription on front attached endpaper. Title page dated 1834. 225 pages, free of marks or tears, and in good reading condition. Binding is strong. He belonged to what is known as the Low Church or Evangelical Party.
