A curved depression and associated stain to front board, causing a curve in bottom of spine with short tears to cloth, otherwise light wear to corners of boards. A dampstain of bottom third to half extends throughout volume causing browning. P.O. inscription on ffep., which has a 1-inch piece torn out. 6 plates, sharp, nicely inked, possibly missing frontis. With all its faults, still a pleasing volume. Sixteen stories: Ishmael, Moses, Samuel, Obediah, The Forty-two Wicked Children of Bethel, Naaman's Little Maid, Joash, Josiah, Jeremiah, Daniel and his Three Companions, Jesus Christ, The Daughter of Jairus, Little Children Brought to Christ, Children of the Temple, John the Baptist, Timothy.
