Published for the author's friends, includes poems that were originally part of sermons, in newspapers, etc. , which convey a glimpse into the life and thoughts of a 19th century New England clergyman, including death, trout fishing, walking in the snow and so forth. Born in New Boston, New Hampshire in 1835, son of Robert B and Elizabeth Warren Cochrane, a graduate of Dartmouth College, and pastor of Antrim Presbyterian Church 1868-1907.
